Indiana YouthPRO Association has set the major goal of increasing the competence of the people working with children through out-of-school-time programs throughout Indiana.
One of the objectives has been to outline a framework for youth worker professional development and training that can be put into action by administrators and front line staff in every part of the state.
The work has included defining six levels of expertise ranging from entry-level exploration to experts focusing on policies and the national movement toward youth worker competency.
